Electric-vehicle maker Lucid Group announces that its 2025 Lucid Air Pure achieves 5.0 mi/kWh, an EPA-rated 146 MPGe and 420 miles (676 km) of range, making it more efficient and sustainable than any other vehicle.

A high-performance heat pump, first employed on the Lucid Sapphire and now standard across the range of Lucid BEVs, provides outstanding range even in cold weather, Lucid says in a news release. A powerful new infotainment processor provides improved user experience.

An 84-kWh battery pack allows the Lucid Air Pure to deliver the range consumers expect while reducing the size of costly battery packs – enabling the production of more cars from a given quantity of raw materials and reducing demands on power grids, Lucid says.

The Lucid Air’s dual-motor electric propulsion system earned it a spot on the 2022 and 2023 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems lists.

“The advancements introduced across the Lucid Air lineup for 2025 further cement our leadership position,” says Peter Rawlinson, CEO and chief technical officer of Lucid. “Lucid Air is the very embodiment of our relentless approach to optimization, enabling Air Pure to use less electrical energy than any other vehicle for any journey taken, A to B.”

The 2025 Lucid Air model features new-generation control hardware with triple the processing power and twice the memory of the previous generation, resulting in a significantly enhanced and faster in-car infotainment experience.

All Lucid models, from Air Pure to Air Grand Touring, now come standard with Lucid’s DreamDrive Premium advanced driver assistance system, which includes 3D Surround View Monitoring, live Blind Spot Display and more. The SurrealSound Pro audio system is now standard on Air Grand Touring models.

Lucid prices range from $69,900 for the Air Pure to $78,900 for the 406-mile-range (654 km) all-wheel-drive Touring and $110,900 for the 512-mile-range (824 km) Grand Touring. All are available to order.
