Manheim's used-car inventory optimization software system, Manheim POINT, has new enhancements, many of which are the result of suggestions by dealer customers.

Linking directly to a dealer management system (DMS), Manheim POINT provides data based on a dealer's own wholesale and retail transactions and those of other dealers nationwide. It allows dealers to make more informed and quicker appraisals and buying and selling decisions.

New features in the Version 2.0 include:

  • Enhanced Market Data: Version 2.0 adds the capability to let dealers compare their results to other dealers in their geographical area.

  • Multi-Store Access: Subscribers with multiple franchise locations now will be able to manage inventory across stores simultaneously, rather than location-by-location.

  • Private Exchange: Dealer groups get the ability to offer vehicles for sale within their group before opting for other sales venues, such as online vehicle exchange or auctions.

  • Multiple Vehicles/Multiple Channels: Customers will have the ability to send multiple vehicles through various sales channels as a group, rather than individually.

“Dealers are telling us that the product is having a big impact on the way they operate their businesses,” says Manheim Vice President and General Manager Charles Williams.
