VW Hikes Prices in Germany

The auto maker is confident there will be no backlash, noting Germany’s inflation rate in March was 1.8%.

Volkswagen AG’s core VW brand raises prices in Germany by an average 0.9%.

All but two models are affected. Excluded are the new Eos cabriolet, which launches this month, and the fuel-efficient Polo BlueMotion, which arrives in showrooms in July.

VW is confident the increase will not hurt sales, noting Germany’s inflation rate in March was 1.8%.
