Bentley's Batur eyes up its two-wheeled sibling, the Ducati Diavel for Bentley.

For the speed-loving Bentley owner looking for a stablemate for the outrageously powerful Bentley Batur, there’s now a matching Ducati Diavel to help fill the garage floorspace.

The two iconic companies are collaborating on a sporty limited-edition motorcycle that aims to celebrate the best of both brands.

While the bike, dubbed the Ducati Diavel for Bentley, is based on a standard model it features key performance and styling tweaks to set it apart from the crowd. Visitors to the "fuorisalone" event at Art Basel in Miami will see a machine that clearly draws its looks from the 730-hp W-12 Bentley Batur, the brand’s most powerful road car to date.

By contrast, the Diavel uses the Ducati 1,158-cc V-4 Granturismo engine boasting a healthy, for a lifestyle tourer, 168 hp and enhances its power delivery with the brand’s Twin Pulse combustion order providing a unique motor sound through a special exhaust system. Visual links to the Bentley include a Scarab Green bodywork color straight from the Bentley Mulliner palette.

Many of the design cues from the Batur also are taken up in different parts of the bike, including the forged wheel rims echoing the wheel design on the car. Side air intakes reflect the Batur’s 2-tone front grille and triangular rear extractors refer to those elements of the car. The front fender, fairing and upper view of the tank feature the ribs reflecting those on the car’s front hood, while the Alcantara single seat can be replaced with a dual seat to carry a passenger. Many of the bodywork components are made of lightweight carbon fiber.

Taking the automotive link one level higher, Bentley owners also can opt for the Capsule Collection, which allows customers to complete their look with a jet helmet and a technical jacket in both men's and women's versions, with color schemes that reflect those of the two vehicles. Just 500 Diavel for Bentley models will be sold while, later, there will be an even more bespoke Ducati Diavel for the Bentley Mulliner model which will be limited to only 50 examples. No prices have yet been announced.
