Mercedes says the design of the new GLC "favors sensual purity and a modern aesthetic" over conventional SUV characteristics. It features a more coupe-like greenhouse, LED headlamps and a wheelbase that has been stretched by 4.6 ins. (118 mm). The interior follows Mercedes' new design strategy, already evident in the bigger GLE. Power comes from a 2L 4-cyl. The GLC is set to hit the European market in September and U.S. showrooms in November. It is the second generation of Mercedes' midsize CUV and replaces the GLK in brand's lineup.
